Description
So I wanted to draw some MLP characters as they'd appear in my original little world where most of my stories and concepts take place! It was an interesting challenge c:
Here's the info and random blurbs I wrote up about them on my art-blog/tumblr!

From top to bottom:

Twilight: I wanted to do something strange and bizarre for her, so I thought presenting her as not only a centaur, but as a genetically modified one would be the most interesting! She’d be sterile, and probably incapable of flight due to her small wings. But they sure would be pretty too look at!

Rarity: What a 'beaut! She has, by far, my favorite colours out of all the main cast. Gosh <3
Here I drew her as my rather silly, hidden species, a Daicon. They accumulate icicles around their forehead during the winter for defense. So a lot of people call them “winter unicorns.”
I thought it was fitting for her because she collects diamonds and already has a somewhat icy theme going on c:

Pinkie Pie: But as a centaur and how she’d appear as such in my world of Darem! Centaurs there are actually a failed genetic combination from centuries ago that have evolved to a growing state of consciousness. I’ll explain all of THATTT later. Probably on canon centaurs in my stories. (I’m fond of them~)

AppleJack: At the request of my pal, Trevor, I drew an AppleJack! Or at least how she would appear in Darem (like the others).
Horses there have some… added anatomy to them! (which I will explain later- ohoh!)

FlutterShy: She didn’t really fit how my Pegasus species acts- being that they are aggressive and territorial. So I thought, the only way she’d REALLY work as a winged species is if she were mixed with another species of mine that is docile and generous (Who I will show later~). SOOO- this is what she’d look like in Darem!

Rainbow Dash: After drawing how unicorns look in Darem, I wanted to draw what Pegasi look like there! And what better way to show the vast anatomical differences then to draw a Pegasus that most people are familiar with? So I had my hand at drawing Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony, and how she would look if she were a Pegasus from my world- waha!
I also wanted to play with her colours, I’m quite fond of sky themes.
