Description This is my final colours for Capcom and 's Final Fight Colouring contest [link] I worked pretty hard on this so hopefully it'll pay off

I also had a lot of frustration because I had one hell of a time figuring out all the characters on the Magic Sword side of things haha. I remember playing it as a kid on the SNES (I think) but couldn't for the life of me figure out who that front guy with the axe was. I finally figured out it was Player 2's character and not Big Man which prompted me to correct the colours over and over again haha.

Please let me know what you all think because I would really appreciate the feedback on this.

Haha taking a second glance maybe they were If I were to do the piece today I definitely would keep the 'stubble' shading a bit weaker on most of the characters. The only person who I would keep it as strong would be Haggar.

dude this is some really solid color work! another one outta the park! this musta taken a super long time to complete, so kudos to you man. i never played this game and I'm not familiar with the characters, but they all look solid to me.
the one thing that kinda stands out is the background color. it's texture is nice but the color seems to clash with the sword and the center dude (guy with the fist). i think maybe a black BG would make the colors pop, bring the characters forward. what do you think? All in all great work though!

I originally played with a darker background, but I couldn't settle on a design I liked.
What I actually should've done was made the top background part more reddish and the bottom part bluish instead (effectively switching them around) to work with complimentary colours. That would've punched out the characters more.

Haha thanks. I can't win anyway. I'm not a U.S. resident. I got an e-mail back though saying that they're going to pass it around the office and send it along to UDON/Alvin Lee though even though I can't win. I guess that's something haha

(I already knew going into this that there wasn't really a chance I'd be eligible)

I'm not a premium member so I can't "critique" but I think that right now the focus is a little hard to determine. Everything has an equal amount of focus so maybe uping the contrast on the guy in center holding the sword would help with that. Other than that I really love the execution of this and it's one my my favorite pieces that I've seen of yours! I hope I was helpful and good luck in the contest!

I completely agree about the focus. But instead of upping the contrast, I think what I should do is play with more reflective light (stronger source) on some of the background characters...I don't have a lot of experience doing that and I think playing with stronger secondary light sources of different colours and lowering the saturation of non-primary characters would really help.

I also think this is one of the best colouring jobs I've done haha. I learned a lot doing this. Unfortunately, because I'm not a U.S. resident I'm not actually eligible to win. Did it as practice and also maybe someone might notice me haha

Sounds like a plan I really enjoy it and I hope you get some heads to turn by it, you should also find any final fight pages and such that you can and post it there, that will get a lot of views at least but I'm sure you know what you're doing

Thanks! Looking at it now, I played it really safe haha. I wish I went crazier with reflective light and stuff like that.

And I don't believe I'm eligible to win since I'm not a U.S. resident But that's okay haha

maybe make another entry with crazier light and stuff? so you get a safe entry and a risky entry to ensure your win I always do that if I am passionate about a competition haha. I did that once and won a wacom graphic tablet.

Doesnt matter if you are not in the US, at least you get noticed. Like how I noticed you
