Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈 When I was thinking of an idea on what to do for my Pride art, I thought of “progression.” I want to see how much I've progressed in terms of my art style and as a person. That’s why I re-created an illustration I made 11 years ago for the poster of Masterbeat’s world tour here in Manila, Pride of 2006.
During that time I wasn’t fully knowledgeable of what we should celebrate during Pride month, all I know is that it’s for the gay community, it was a fun time to spend with friends and attend parades and parties. 11 years after, I now have a stronger understanding of what Pride is all about. Pride is about celebrating your existence without prejudice and persecution, acknowledging that we are human beings who has the right to exist and that no one should take that liberty away from us. That we should be proud of who we really are and we can love whomever we choose to love. t’s about celebrating all colors of love, and realizing that we are all strong! love is strong.

Times are changing, we are progressing, slowly, but someday we will experience the true meaning of equality. We’re getting there and we shouldn’t stop marching.
Change is inevitable but progression is a choice. We all move, but are you going to move forward?
