Just wondering, are these digital paintings or on canvas?

I'm pretty sure they are traditional. The brush strokes look like it, plus on their profile, they are labeled as a traditional artist.
Of course, I could be wrong.

As a raptor rehabilitator and snarly person about raptor art, I am amazed to say that my only complaint is that this bird should have half yellow, half brown eyes, due to the aging on the tail.
I am impressed.

Great detail on the feathers, but for me it is the eye that makes it seem alive and full of motion.

Hey there! Β While I completely agree with you that hawks will never be domesticated and are amazing wild creatures, the practice of falconry is an incredible experience of learning to hunt in cooperation with a wild creature and learning to communicate across species boundaries. Β Birds of prey are often only kept for a season or two and then released, and the interaction between falconer and bird is focused entirely on developing the relationship to become a successful hunting team. Β Every time a bird is loosed for the hunt, it has the choice - it can work with the human to hunt, or it can fly off. Β I have seen both happen. Β As passage birds, or first year juvenile/adults, are traditionally caught, falconers are able to help more birds survive to adulthood. Β It is an incredible thrill to work with these amazing, wild, mindful creatures and develop that relationship and to see it come to fruition, and I promise you we never consider them pets. Β XD

Wow, you're much cooler than I thought ! Well, I just wanted to scream a little something about hunters.
I specifically thought about the ones that kill beasts for pleasure, with all the consequences behind, often leaving the corpses behind .
I have to say that hunters in general... Well I don't like this idea very much, because I think humans kill too much animals, for us to go in the forests and kill even more, sometimes for pleasure. I don't claim that industry is a good way of killing either, honestly I just don't like the idea of killing for non-practical-survival reasons.
That being said, I don't claim that I know very much on the matter, just the idea displease me .
Well, I've seen stuff on falconry and thought it was pretty cool to be honest, but what you said convinced me even more !
My concern is just mutual respect between species, humans and animals because we are emotional, we shouldn't act like crual beasts and try to have a bond with animals, when interacting with them, leaving those we can in complete freedom if possible.

If it helps at all, in falconry whatever the bird catches actually goes to one specific purpose - feeding the bird. Β With raptors there is no better diet than what nature itself provides, and we are happy to do so. Β If a bird is overly successful on a particular day, the excess is safely stored and used either for training or for the days when the bird does not make a successful catch. Β Falconers do not catch simply to catch. Β You won't find one out there that doesn't respect nature and understand the importance of population health. Β XD
