I really like this one. It's all dirty and the concept is cool. I kind of want to see moth wings instead of crow (?) wings though. The crow wings kind of detract from the theame, but that could just be me.

Those are moth wings I think. The larger species of them tend to have wings that do have a "feathery" quality.

They look like bird wings to me because the "feathers" go all the way to the wing bone not just at the ends like the pretty moth example.
But we'll let Ken settle this debate. If he says they are moth wings (or some other variant of bug) then that is what they are.

They looked like thin, flat insect wings to me, though the light could be playing tricks with the shadows. I can't really discern any signs of a bone structure, especially at the top end where there should have more signs of thickness, density where the radius and ulna would be.
The span of the faux-feathers is why I linked the first image as well. It has a similar structure though they are separated. I'm really curious what species of whatever that is those wings came from. Striking image.

Looking at it again I am starting to wonder if what I saw as bird wings is in fact correct. At closer inspection it looks to be not pictures of actual wings but a black picture of some random wings. Like cut outs. Which would explain how they look like crow wings to me a moth wings to you because an artist rendition is never 100% accurate.
We are definitely going to have to get Ken's word on this one.

As he is working digital, there are so many downloadable brushes you can add to photoshop, one in fact I saw not too long ago that did demon/angel wings. Could be very likely a brush/clip art/vector art.

Wow I really love the entire feel of this. The glow is absolutely lovely. It feels warm and scary at the same time. The sepia/monochrome feeling is amazing too.

Ya know, this is creeping me out a bit. Picturing a giant man-moth banging his face on a light bulb will kind of do that.
Well done. Color palette is rockin'. Gives the feel of an incandescent bulb. Warm. Background texture is grungy-- nice choice, makes for nice shadows.
