Becoming friends with Taro is no easy task-- getting through his outer shell's got to be one of the hardest things to do, even after he's toned down his anger issues a lot since his first year in Natsugaoka.
Though he won't explode or turn to violence anymore, he is a rather gloomy kid. You can physically see a grey cloud hanging around right above him wherever he goes.

He doesn't bother trying to fill in awkward silences either, though he does notice them.

The kind of boy that will cry with romantic movies and moving music when he's by himself, criticism's always hurt him deeply, and he has a hard time holding back his tears whenever someone else cries.
Extremely aware of his flaws, hence whenever he's with someone else he tends to get a bit nervous if they haven't been drawn away by his unfriendly demeanor.

Despite all of his flaws, however, Taro's always been a smart kid, which shows on most of his school work.
If you ever managed to get through his shell, he'd become a trustworthy and dependable friend-- probably loyal to a fault, too, though he's been making sure not to grant his loyalty to just anyone.b i o g r a p h y .
Taro was pretty much your average boy while growing up. The first 11 years of his life had nothing special to them, and he really liked it that way, though he wasn't able to realize it until much later.
His parents got a divorce, but it wasn't the divorce itself what hurt him. It was, instead, the fact that his own mother would leave him and his father behind in order to live with some other man. Knowing that he didn't mean enough to her made his world come crumbling down, and it didn't get any better when he noticed his father was in the exact same position he found himself in.
She never looked back.
Betrayal fell heavily on his chest, and it hasn't left since. If his own mother was able to leave him behind, then nothing's stopping everyone else. He clammed himself up and grew extremely defensive, as well as overly self-aware of his own flaws. He ended up driving everyone away, as well as walking into trouble far too often.
That's when his father made the decision of sending him to Natsugaoka High. After spending their whole life in one same place, a change of surroundings would do them well.l i k e s / d i s l i k e s.
