I am a member of the Texas military forces. It didn't hit me until around noon, after watching both towers collapse... After taking a shower, got into my uniform, and rode along with my Battalion XO (who is actually my father). On our way to the Emergency Management Center in El Paso, they played "God Bless the USA" on the local country station, and I lost it...
