Two days ago, I watched 's hair painting tutorial , and I felt driven by the end of it. I thought to paint something as a challenge, just to not use any sort of outlines (maybe sketches count, I don't know). I settled on the Jersey Devil, for his design had something I've not yet tried before: How bone, muscle and skin connects. It certainly wasn't hair I was going to practice with this so...

If I was to say how long this took, I honestly don't know. I can tell you that while I made this, I had a Flogging Molly and a Lordi album, as well as Markiplier's Knock-Knock and some other playthroughs play from beginning to end. I was having so much fun, time just flew by.

While I try to figure out how to improve on his lower jaw and teeth (later, his antlers), I'd love to hear what others think on how this guy turned out so far. Is he well shaded, does the lighting make him pop out enough, is the perspective right, anything really.
