This started out as another exercise in working with my new brush pens. I wanted to do an entire image just with the brush pens. So I doodled up a samurai. I wanted to make it kind of realistic so I used some Toshiro Mifune pictures to get a face idea, and then after a quick penciling I used only the brush pens to finish the figure. I was bored so I messed around with the color a bit put a quick background together and presto a Pop Art like samurai illustration. It's a bit different than my normal stuff but I kinda like it.Related content

Thank you very much. He's not really anyone, I was using several pictures of the Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune (Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Sanjiro) as some kind of reference point, so that's probably why he has a familiar appearance. But I just drew the face based on Mifune's features and not as an exact likeness. I'm not sure if this makes any sense but that's all I got.
