It is very good! You mentioned a teacher... where do you study?

hey thank you! yes I had a teacher. I took a digital painting class in my city (Montreal) and it lasted 10 weeks I thought about registering for class again this Spring but I kinda needed a break first lol and will apply for another class in Summer or Fall for Environmental Design but I want to get a good understanding of the concept first (learning basic perspectives, doing thumbnails, speed painting etc..) before I apply. If I can learn the basics first and not give up after a month or two of studying on my own then I'm ready for a new class

That is so awesome... Use the opportunity. We dont have that kind of lectures here, unless you are a University student.

Ah I see, that's unfortunate. Have you ever tried online classes?

No, But I had a look what there is to offer. But that was some time ago, and at that time of my life the prices seemed big. I should look it over again. Thanks for reminding me of the online possibilies. (sometimes I surprise myself how the most simple thinks donΒ΄t allways come to mind)

Yep he's really good, he has its own style!Β

Indeed, online courses are helpful. Lately I've been trying to develop my own style and technique. I've already spent a year trying out techniques from other artists and doing studies, it wasn't fun anymore. Now I'm challenging myself to do my personal work and just draw what makes me happy!

yeah, at one point, you wonΒ΄t get better if you donΒ΄t draw your own stuff... just knowing how to do it and how to copy is not enough.

I guess the more important stuff is to do what you love!

Yes it was a fun exercise to do! I didn't even know that I could paint something and make it look realistic haha XD I'ts all about values!

I feel as if you're mastering realism. All of your paintings, from what I've seen, are realistic! But you're doing great with the values and stuff~!
