Description
This was actually sketched a long time ago and I feel like practicing colors since nothing is changing with my ways. I was bored sketching new anime picture so I used my old artworks that has been scrapped. Like i have been doing, I'm starting to improve my coloring skill by changing styles and adapting other's. This is the result of my one week hardwork so go easy on it
This is Alleyne from Queen's Blade. Nothing much to say about the show but there are various characters which I found amusing, like her and Airi (they are my favorites by the way), that had better character developments than the main character herself. I had a failed work of Airi if you want to see and I must make a new one again soon.

I think you should blur, you're just overdoing it ... the lines are becoming undefined ... I think XP. In other words, you should make the lines more clear.

I'll take note of that! I usually blur it in photoshop. Do you think it's too much? Should I lower it or just don't blur it at all?

Ooh! That coloring on the cape is just hot! Don't be afraid to do a bit more defining on the face though compared to the awesome shading in her clothes, her face is rather blank.

That is really a helpful advice! I've been struggling to shade the face without making it ugly due to darkness and I'll try my best!

Maybe try adding a few more levels of shading into your work. That might help with not over powering the face, but still give it some contrast so it has a shape. You can also add highlights to areas like the bridge of the nose and parts of the cheeks.
