Description This illustration is for a board game called "A Tale of Bravery".

Clarent was King Arthur's royal sword of peace, meant for knighting and ceremonies. Mordred stole Clarent and used it to mortally wound King Arthur at the battle of Camlann. There are multiple available interpretations, but as the sword in the stone played a central part in the knighting and crowning of King Arthur, Clarent can be identified as the sword in the stone.

The sword in the stone is often mistaken for having been Excalibur, but when you think about it, Excalibur was given to Arthur by the lady of the lake and therefore can't have been the same weapon as the sword in the stone.

This sword is one of many legendary weapons that the players will be able to wield in the game. The game takes place in a fantasy version of the British isles, some 20 years after the death of King Arthur.
