Description Wow, so I've had a vague character concept for many many years, but it took some motivation to actually flesh it out. This motivation came in the form of a contest held by and right here: [link]
We were to create a character for Lord of the Rings and I will say I remember why I only have a small amount of OC's. I HATE NAMING THEM. Narineduil and her brother's names gave me heart burn. I don't make elven character's for a reason, but she needed to be done. Now that I have her done I think I want to make a character for all the bodies Keoko inhabited. It would probably make drawing my fancomic easier. Anyways, here is her background! I hope you enjoy it and can follow it... I am terrible at writing sometimes:

Narineduil as the profile says, is an elf. She was tasked with healing her elven kin during the war with Sauron in the second age. She was one of the most skilled in her field and could heal most injuries, that was until her love was killed in battle. Narineduil lost the will to live and started to fade. Before she did however, her twin brothers, Elladiin and Mariik took her on a walk by the river side to spend her last few days with them.

As they approached the water, they found a body washed up on the riverside. The elves recognized the body as one of Sauron's demons, Keoko the Shadowfang. The demon was near death; her horns had been removed in battle, and those horns were the source of her powers. Narineduil asked her brothers to help her move the demon back into the building they were staying in. Her brothers were shocked at Narineduil, this demon had turned many of their kinsmen into orcs and slayed many innocent lives. They told her that they should kill her off, instead of healing her. Narineduil insisted, however, that this demon be healed stating, "This poor creature might have been like us. Who knows what tortures and evils she went through to become in such a state. You may call me crazy, brothers, but I believe this woman can be redeemed."

Mariik and Elladiin were still skeptical of the demon's nature ever changing for good, but they found it hard to deny their sister who would depart from this world shortly. They carried the demon back to their housing and laid her on a bed. Narineduil worked for the rest of the night to stabilize the demon, but to no avail. The wounds of battle and loss of her horns made her body weak. That was when Narineduil had an idea. She would give her own body over to the demon and instruct her brothers to guide Keoko's path to redemption. Of course Elladiin and Mariik did not approve of their sister's idea, but agreed to look after the demon, lest she try to go about her evil ways again.

Narineduil said goodbye to her brothers and bid them good luck. She preformed the magic spell that would kick start Keoko's "body-hopping" ways. When the spell was complete, Narineduil closed her blue eyes. The next time they opened, a gold hue took their place and Keoko would begin her new life as an elf for the next 2,000 years. She knew it not at the time, but Narineduil's act of kindness not only paved Keoko's way to redemption, but it would prove to the world that a cruel and twisted heart can truly change.

Narineduil, Keoko, Mariik and Elladiin are all my characters and belong to me.
The wonderful world and universe they are in belongs to J.R.R Tolkien

I'm particularly impressed with that dress. Did you design it yourself? *le jealous because I can't draw clothing worth squat*

I did! I love designing clothing, it's what I wanted to be before my dreams were squandered terribly.
It may help if you start drawing clothes on your characters and make them spontaneous-combustion-proof. xD (I loved that comic so much)

Squandered terribly? What? Why don't you go into costume design? D:

Hahhh... Yeah, it would help to actually draw clothes once in a while, I suppose.

Well, I could go into costume design, but I have little idea on how to sew... at least on how to sew well.

Ah, but costume design is about designing costumes, not necessarily about building them!

That is true, It just feels like cheating. "Here's this fabulous design, I have absolutely no idea how your going to build it, bye!"

It's not cheating! My mom made my werewolf bodysuit because I don't know how to sew. Think of it as a tag-team!

I personally like humans better, but dwarves are melting my heart, and lets not forget those adorable hobbits

Haha well the Rohirrim yes, Faramir too and Aragorn but the other men I just want to slap or yell at. Admittedly the Lorien elves annoy the heck out of me.... XD But I have started to fall for the Hobbits.

What? No Boromir? What did he ever do to you?
Granted the only hobbits I like tend to be the more adventurous ones. xD
I really can't wait to see if Mirkwood is drastically different then the other elven places.

I.... Boromir, I forgot Boromir *dies*.
xD Sam all the way.
I know, if not I am going to have words with Mr Jackson and be like 'Thranduil will not be impressed'

How could you forget Boromir. Poor Boromir, not only does he pass on, but he gets forgotten too. T.T

I'm weird, naming my OCs is a big stuff for me x3 I make efforts to give 'suitable'-'fitting' names (in many ways, like being memorable)

keokotheshadowfang In reply to theubbergeek2 [2013-01-31 01:15:28 +0000 UTC]

Ugh, Naming is the most hated part for me. Just today I had an idea, but if I wanted to do it I had to come up with a new cast of characters. So, long story short, I gave up.

You can message me those times if you wish, or google around - many, many websites offer names lists, generators, etc along about all fandoms, eras, cultures you can think of. ^^

Very nicely done. I love how you add simple designs but they make things look fanciful.

Designs are really hard for me, like I told myself "I want this to be fancy" but then I try to draw it and... nope xD So I'm glad this one worked out.

at least you attempt them, any time my drawing requires a pattern I cheat.

Yes, photoshop has many nice cheating options that GIMP doesn't have xD

teehee yeah it is quite nice for me. I'm not talented enough to use gimp...and to lazy to attempt it.
