I'm pleased to say that I finally have one finished!This tentacle is perfectly balanced, so it can stand on a flat surface such as a table or be hung on a wall. It is completely hand-formed from earthenware clay with absolutely no molds of any kind were ever used to create this piece. Measuring at 8" tall or 9" with base it really makes a statement.
The base is customizable, can be stained, clear coated or painted any color one desires. Or if you prefer it without the base that's cool too. It will stand up freely without it, though you might have some trouble mounting on a wall without it.
I was thinking that it could hold a candle lantern, kinda like a sconce. Neat huh?
