An evening out with and it wasn't quite how I planned it as the tide was in which was a shame but hey at least we got some fresh air, shame there wasn't a better sky.some info on the mount if your interested. [link]

Thank you for the feedback. Very interesting to read what you think. I might pull the photo up again soon and just try re working it again and see how it comes out, could be interesting.

no the conditions were crap. I was there hoping for great things, a nice sunset and the tide on its way out, instead the tide was in and weather turned crap. Typical of photographic day out lol

I actually prefer St M. with the tide in, I'm not keen on the pathway. Anyway check the tides next time, saftey first!

Excellent Capture of the mount mate, I was down Penzance direction last night for a birthday meal and really wished I had been allowed to drag my camera along (my missus banned me from taking it lol). It was a beautiful evening and there would have been opportune shots of the mount.

Looks like a lovely scene, Steve.
I know how annoying skies can be, but I think overall, you managed to capture it fairly well.
You mentioned how it was a shame the tide was in (I have no idea how you planned the shot to be though), but I rather like the water and the smoothness of it
Also, I definitely second getting and ND Grad. It would help for tricky skies for sure!

thanks Zeta, I will be looking into getting one of those filters for sure. I was hoping the tide would of been out a bit further and a slightly better sky so I could get a shot of the causeway leading up to the mount. Seen a few shots like it but wanted one of my own.

Nice shot,
but get a neutral grad filter on the end of your lens Steve. Em just bought some and it just helped the evening light come through beautiful on her shots.

I used an ND4 and a ND8 on this one not that it made allot of difference. maybe need some better quality ones or something...
