you could just put a subdivide modifier on its surface

i'm editing it in 3ds max. But in pmde you can't add smoothers, and.in other programs you will need to rerigg the model. Also, cause the models are made out of difrent parts against.eachother instead of attached to eachother, using smoothers would add holes trough the model.
