btw, i just need a little refresher course on this, how'd you select certain areas for the gradient? (like the orb in his hand.. there a green/red gradient in place there, while it didn't effect the rest of the piece)
its probably something simple.. but i've lacked the photoshop goodness lately

ok, well , you first got the polygon selection tool, draw around the peice that you want to select, then go onto the gradient tool, then draw the line in the selection you've made and wa la! then go back onto the polygon tool, then press Ctrl D

It is probably a layer and then a selection, gradients only effect whats inside a Selection
So perhaps Keruri just selected the area in the drawing that had the spears empty space and gradient-ed... that part

Well i mean... they effect everything UNLESS you have a selection because if you have a selection whatever you do will only happen on the inside of those flsy dotted lines of doom!

I absolutely love it! Oryan is a character in my novel and even MY hand drawing version of him isnt as cool as yours! (I still need to get it up on da too lol) Of course my picture hes sad lol but this one is awesome!
Perhaps is so calming (other than the posture, his expression, and the background) is because he has that stone
