Just some work in progress shots of my Metal Gear Rising Raiden cosplay I'm working on!!The jaw prosthetic is my first attempt at molding and casting so I'm quite happy with the results! Still working on the armor and it's going well albeit slow.
Just hoping I get this finished before the game's on February 19th 2013!

i cast the jaw in slip cast latex. it was sculpted in oil based clay then molded in plaster

! So sick man. I've been dying to this cosplay. I can't wait to see the end result. I cant wait to see how you'll do with the katana and sheath, most Rising Raidens cosplays ive seen dont ever make the sheath, are you planning on making it?

yes definitely im going to make the sheath and the extra knives as well as the heel joint so i can grip the katana with my foot

sdkjhasdkjfh Ive been thinking about a jointed grabbing heel for MGS4 Raiden cosplay for a long time but never got around to making him and then Rising came out so I wanted to that for that cosplay instead. Shots with feet grabbing the katana would be so damn sweet and has not been done before. No one attempts to do the heels in general when Ive seen them, unless they're girls who are just wearing high heels for MGS4 Raiden.

yeah sadly ive never seen anyone make a jointed heel which i feel is one of the most distinguishing characteristics of Raiden's new body since MGS4 so I really want to make it. Well if you do get around to making your Raiden outfit i hope to see pics!

YAY FOR METAL GEAR! I've played it since the first MGS and didn't like Raiden when he came out in the 2nd game but he grew on me after a while and now he's so badass! >)

I started with the 2nd game and I liked Raiden for the most part but thought he whined too much. But just like you he grew on me and yes he is soooooooooo badass!
