Description My set of characters from a story Celeste and I recently completed. A few of these characters, like Derwyn, Zhiva, and Santos, have been in my dA gallery before.

I'm not sure if I'll describe everyone...um, does anyone read that stuff anyway?

**EDIT**--Added vague descriptions below.

**NOTE**--There is a race represented here that has tails and long ears. They're called meridi and they carry characteristics and tails of certain animals.

Agathe--A hoochie who pretends to be Malin's friend but actually just despises and uses her. She's a bunny meridi.
Malin--My hero of the story. Intelligent, good with machines, bad with people. She knows the rules of common sense, she just rarely applies them to herself. She's 100% man-tarded. She's a jerboa meridi.
Artemis--A woman driven mad by her rivalry with her fellow military captain, Dagmar (not pictured). Artemis' mother is abusive of her, so Artemis never feels worthy enough for anything, despite striving for and attaining great things during her life. She's a wolf meridi.
????--???? is the form Artemis took after being temporarily resurrected. Artemis succeeded in killing her killer, and, as a reward, life and her original form were restored to her. He's a wolf meridi.
Derwyn--A one-armed knight from another land, thrown into the steampunky world of the Meridi. Derwyn is very quiet and shy, possessing a rather closed medieval mindset. Everything in Meridia scared him at first, even mailboxes. He's a human.
Ralph---A homely, messy knight from the same land as Derwyn. He has a thing for the ladies...all of them. He's a human.
Santos--A powerful sorcerer who ran away from civilized society and ended up becoming the chief of a group of tribespeople. He's a dauel.
Freya--The general over the Meridian Army. She's reserved, proper, and stylish. She's quite in love with Queen Hilde's father, King Espen. She's a tiger meridi.
Queen Hilde--Hilde is a cheerful young queen, ushered into power rather quickly because of her mother's death. Power in meridi society falls to queens and princesses, not kings. She enjoys fetching things, as she is a dog meridi.
Andy--Andy belongs to a seductive group of otter-like men who can transform from the form I drew him in up there into the form of a regular-sized sea otter. These otters are similar to sirens and nymphs in meridi lore, often causing the downfall of brave meridi warrior-women heroes.
Giorgiano--Giorgiano is a brainy, evil little nerd who's also one of the king's men-in-waiting. He ends up being the main villain of the story. He's a monkey meridi.
Edrick--Edrick is head knight over Ralph, Sawyer (not picture), and Seymour (not pictured). Basically, he babysits them and makes sure they don't make fools of themselves during their stay in Meridia. He's serious and kind, and has a difficult time understanding most humor. Edrick's a human.
Gunnar--All of the valkyrie warriors of Meridia ride giant wolves into battle. Gunnar is Captain Dagmar's mount. Gunnar is intelligent and perceptive, and sensitive to the feelings of others.
Leofwyn--One of the few surviving dragons, Leofwyn is gold in color. She's quiet and often mopey, still feeling immense despair from the loss of her fellow dragons.
Iscora--Iscora was once an evil queen, but then she stopped and ran off with a blind dragon man. She had a litter of his babies, as you can see. Iscora is a dauel.
Zhiva--Zhiva is the current leader of the remaining dragons, and is white in color. She has an enormous love of cats and the valley where she lives is practically overrun with her pets. Zhiva is kind and motherly with several humans. Most humans, however, rub her the wrong way and she has little patience with them.
Paula--Paula is Olga's mount. She's very sweet and round, and has had several litters of pups, most of them with General Freya's mount, Edvin (not pictured).
Hekket--Hekket is the leader of a group of jungle-dwelling, wild meridi. He has a short temper but is generally a fair ruler. He is a leopard meridi.
Bakaar--Hekket's cheerful, roly-poly son. He loves parties and eating sweets. He's a leopard meridi.
Olga--Olga loves to eat nuts and berries and climbing trees. She ends up part of Hekket's wild man tribe by marrying one of Hekket's subjects. Olga is a squirrel meridi.

Those are some neat little characters. Hilde's design is pretty cute between the two styles. The characters seem to have pretty good taste in hats too, but most steampunk folk do I guess.

I see a lack of beards though, and elephants, or bearded elephants even!

XD Yep no beards in this batch I'm afraid.

I read all of them!

What's a dauel?

I like Andy the best, I think, although Hilde the girl queen who likes playing fetch made me giggle out loud. Actually I can't choose a favorite. I was going to list the ones I liked best, but I keep thinking of more, so... yesh. anyhow.

Thanks!! I appreciate the comment. :3

A dauel is sort of like an elf...in that they're prettier, more delicate, and more magically inclined than humans. They have a human lifespan, though, and aren't mystical fairy-ish creatures.

D'aww, Derwyn! <3

Also, I love Andy for his little round ears and newsboy cap.

That happy little Hilde is SO CUTE. I mean...SO CUTE.

I read your descriptions!

Pretty!

Actually, I usually read your descriptions. A wall of text is boring, but you always manage to make the snippets interesting. So, tell us if you like. I'll read them.

Also, I think Artemis sounds really interesting. And I love her hair!

But also Edrick -- a knight with glasses! That's just cool. And his expression makes much more sense knowing he's stuck babysitting.

Yay!

I don't know why, really, but I find it fun to read them. Maybe it's because you do short, intriguing summaries. Some people do a paragraph per character, and I almost never read those!
