My first post for 3 years (nearly 4!). The past month or so I started to miss this old haunt, even with all it's flaws! I haven't done much art at all for the past 3 years - but I'm having another stab at making it a priority. I'll see how it goes!
This drawing is from last year - just another little cottage. I like the colours and textures, but it was a bit rushed (it was a little thank you gift), and I would have liked to make the inside of the house feel more 'homely'.

Thanks! I either used an old basic set of reeves watercolours (this one) Β or a set of kuretake watercolour paints my sister got meΒ (this one) Β . I have a feeling it was the reeves one. Iβd like to get a set of Cotman or even better winsor newton professional at some point - just using the stuff I already have first.Β

I like how many elements are curling, like new growth on a fern. Also, the tightly packed space reminds me of the Pacific North-west in how the forested regions are teeming with plant life.
