You don't think it would kind of ruin the mystery of the character if we get to see him unmasked? 
Though it was nicely brought in the original, but Tony Moran had a strangeness in his face that was suiting to Michael

it's just for the ending, to see the truth of Michael myers before he dies, like the scene in the book dracula when he got slain, before he crumpled to peace there was an expression of peace on his face.

thank you, so when michael is finally dead, as he lay dying unmasked into the face of his sister, he gives an expression of gratitude, relief and peace. He was free from his darkness
