I thought I'd give Kevin a new love interest, because I always thought Kevin and Gwen didn't fit with each other. Plus I want to foreshadow Devlin Levin.

I always hated the matter coating powers UAF gave him, I mean whatever Kevin coated himself with? He would always get his ass handed to him. While he was better in OV, I still thought the matter coating power was stupid. After watching Teen Titans, this gave me an idea to how to properly use this power, and so Madelyn was concieved.

So the story goes, she is one of Servantis's early experiments in his Rooter Regiment of the plumbers. To prepare for the coming storm, the Rooters sought to weaponize powers of earth by using the elements. Failure after Failure, they needed someone to shift these abilities into a living weapon, and so Madelyn was taken from an orphanage, to where she would be weaponized. However, funding for the rooters was cut after Vilgax was defeated. So she was put under ice and sent to a mars space station to where she will be thawed when the Rooters needed her.

After the brotherhood unite with the Rooters, the brotherhood offered a solution to their problem, Kevin would act as a conduit to transfer DNA to the rooters, granting them superpowers. And as a thank you, they would have Kevin and Madelyn together to further cement their alliance.

For her abilities, she can coat herself with whatever matter she touches and can shapeshift them into weapons. She is strong as she is very graceful. She and a few of her members are part of the XI Squad, where they are created to fight and kill Ben Tennyson.
