When Razerel jailbreaks (a type of full power transformation that Fordians undergo when exposed to evolutionary pressure), she takes a form that is similar to an exodrake, but not exact.

When your team shows up in hazmat suits, Razerel's instinct is to defend. She's like a gatekeeper to Fordia and, taking your visit initially as an act of hostility, she attacks the party to protect Fordia. Once you defeat her, you can explain you are not here to attack but to help, as at this point in the game it has been discovered that alkahest neutralizes radiation.

Why did it take so long to make this discovery? Because of an accident in a lab in 1567, a mistake when mixing radiation and alkahest resulted in a violent explosion that killed 12 people. But this happened because an air bubble tainted the mix. If air does not get in the mix, alkahest and radiation neutralize each other. So it has to be done in a vacuum.

The goal after beating Razerel is to evacuate Fordia to spaceships so the air can be pumped away and the radiation of Fordia neutralized with many gigatons of alkahest. once the radiation is neutralized, the hardy metal people of Fordia can start to recover from the damage it did to them.
