Well, it took me a bit, but I'm continuing my series of Captain N redesigns with the villains of Video-Land.And how appropriate that the biggest pain in the butt to design and color would be the big bad Mother Brain herself. I took inspiration from how she appears in Super Metroid (before her transformation). As a matter of fact, I had the final boss music playing as I designed her and I think she's all the more terrifying as a result.
Can you picture Levi Stubbs voice coming out of this? (with some layering and a nasty echo) Hell yes!!

Well, I've already commented on this one, but I did a search for "Captain N Mother Brain" and this was the top DA result. I'm still struck by what a good blend this is, so much so that I didn't realize at first that it wasn't the old Captain N design.
It would definitely make things different, but I kinda wish this was the Mother Brain used in the games! Imagine what Other M would have been like with that wishy-washy Samus up against Levi Stubbs? Oh gosh!

Maybe the Mother Brain from the original Captain Planet was just a clone of the true mother brain that was defeated by Samus.

personality/character-wise would've preferred her to actually be just pure evil instead of ironically vain. That's what always annoyed me about the original cartoon. The others can be total dorks, and whatnot but the "big boss" of the villain group should act like someone who's not to be messed with.

Ha, classic. I always got a 80s Little shop of horrors vibe from the cartoon mother brain, just recently found out that both the plant and mother brain were voiced by Levi Stubbs.
