I ranted about my theory on "NES Reimagination" a bit when I submitted Turbo Man.

These aren't 8-bit renders of the eight masters from Mega Man 8 (eight eight eight eight) so much as they are NES translations. A lot of the gameplay mechanics in Mega Man 8 just wouldn't have been feasible on the NES, so I'd like to think the masters, their stages, their weapons... it all would've been a little different than the way we know it.

Tengu Man loses his wings and blades for the sake of simplification, also because he already had a jet pack and do we really need to see where those leaf blades come from? It never stopped Wood Man. Also gains those japanese sandals 'cause if you're flying around anyway WHY NOT.
Clown Man gains more old-generation-friendly arms. This would allow him to swing from his trappease, attack etc. without needing a billion frames of animation. Just add a few more "links" when necessary.
Search Man loses a head, 'cause he'd probably be bigger than Frost Man if he were big enough to support the larger heads in NES sprites. We could make the heads smaller but that would just look ridiculous.
Aqua Man gets a redesign based more on his original artwork (which can be seen during the Mega Man 8 credits). This basically just loses the valves and then adds a few other details to the design.

I'm sure a few of the master weapons (and maybe even the boss cycle) would've changed too, but I haven't put enormous thought into that yet.

If these are received at all well I may move on to do a few other bits, like complete screen mock-ups. Maybe poke around for a programmer to actually make the game. Yes I know there's a team that already did that but quite frankly I thought it was terrible and seem to be obsessed with proving I can do better.
