Description "Because there are things you see
that I cannot

Because I cannot unwalk the paths

Because I am tired
and tomorrow will be a long journey

Everything is packed
and there will be people to meet us

So don't worry
keep alert
and the silver bell is on the shelf..."

Do more with this beautiful teal blue color!; it is gorgeous. Aside from that, I do agree with Cogwurx above about the blending; perhaps you could even get rid of the reds to increase the power of that sky.

I think this is a new door opening in your art. It's amazing what a choice in color can do.

Thanks for noticing the color! My friend dropped a tube of blue on my easil for my birthday then walked away. I took it as a challenge....

Yeah, the blending....It's hard reshooting the work to reflect it's reality, especially before the piece was varnished. I also noticed my monitor's calibration had gone off....so I resubmitted it. But it was my little experiment....

Experimentation is what its all about: it's how we push the boundaries. I think your friend's challenge is a great idea and I really hope to see more in this shade...there is something cold and spiritual about it which is a compliment to your illuminated orange and reds. Go near Malibu on a really dark day and find a beach with a cliff edge: the way the darkness and the blueness combine with the incoming fog is really forceful. In that I see the powers of blue...

Nice. New colors for you... :-]

The only thing that bugs me is that the figure looks too cut out...not enough blending in with the rest of the background. It doesn't look like it is a part of the whole, more like it's either not done (in comparison to your other work) or that it was just slapped on as an after thought.

Thank you....and I agree. I think much of that had to do with reshooting it before it was varnished and the fact that my monitor was off. Resubbed it. But...it's my little step into another pallette....
