Description The Adam West TV show made the Dynamic Duo worldwide pop art icons, but at the same time associated their images to the "camp" style. After the show was canceled DC choose to return the Caped Crusader to his more serious roots. In the seventies Batman became once again a night figure. Robin became older and left Gotham for college and a solo career.
Then, came the Super Friends. In the cartoon the Dynamic Duo was inseparable, working together in all seasons. SF Bats were not so serious as his comic book counterpart, he was more of an adventurer than a dark avenger of the night. Since punching were forbidden in the SF cartoon Batman and Robin used outrageous bat gadgets to fight crime in the show.

This work looks wonderful. I love the Super Friends version of Batman and Robin which was definitely more like the Adam West version (which I enjoyed also). For me, the serious Batman of the 70's could certainly co-exist with the lighter more child friendly version of Batman.

Thanks. And I agree, I like both versions.

Robin - Holy humiliation, Batman! This is the first time Commissioner Gordon asks us to find an open pizzeria at midnight.

Batman *thinking* Pepperoni and Mushrooms. Double Cheese.

Bats: "It could be worse. At least he didn't ask for fortune cookies..."

Hanna-Barbera couldn't secure Messrs. West and Ward to do the voice-acting for Super Friends, but Filmation got them, and gave us...

I found your pic to be rather invocative of the closing credits to this classic 70s CBS SatAM feature.

Adam West provided the voice of Batman in Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show and The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians (the two last seasons of the show).
And I remember that ending with Batman doing acrobatics over Gotham's rooftops. Really cool.

Partially right: Olan Soule did Batsie in the original run of SuperFriends:

With Adam coming in later, for the Legendary SuperPowers Show and then Galactic Guardians, as you mentioned:

I knew I couldn't be wrong. There's no mistaking Adam West's smooth, deeper and calm drawl with Soule' more tense and clipped, tenor-level voice.
