My school was closed today and yesterday because of Hurricane Sandy. My cousins' school was also closed. My uncle had to work part of yesterday and today, my aunt is on a trip, and they're not old enough to stay home alone for prolonged periods of time, so they stayed over my house yesterday.
My parents wanted to use the downstairs TV for awhile (the large one where we can all play Xbox and Wii) so we went upstairs to find something to do. I had pulled out me and my brother's Nintendo 64 a few days ago, and left it in my brother's room, thinking it would make a good still life. It was still there, and we decided to play it; the only problem was that there were only 2 controllers. So we took turns, although they played it most of the time. And so for awhile, I sat at the back of the room and decided to draw the scene.
It was sort of difficult to do because they're the kind of kids who jump/scream/fistpump after they win or lose a game, and they were playing the minigames in Kirby 64 and Beetle Adventure Racing, so there were a couple times where they moved so much after a match that there was no way that I could improvise and had to start over. I'm not extremely thrilled with it, it is only a crappy sketch but for some reason I feel as if I should have done more than half hearted shading....
