Sketched, inked and mostly all coloured during the period of two Web Design classes (bad me! I know! X_X)Anyhow, I put together another pic with all the elemental goddess' - but this time included the girls who were made for the calendar (who aren't really elements, but more for fun). I still don't plan to use them for much (and they'll never be a part of the manga), but it was nice to have 12 squares rather than 8. :3
From Right to left, we have:
Zuri, Fire Goddess (with Arashi)
Magji, Water Goddess
Kowhai, Air Goddess
Midori, Earth Goddess
Glace, Ice Goddess
Rosa, Wood Goddess
Rai, Lightning Goddess (Yeah, she does like to grin in pictures. X3)
Johari, Stone Goddess
Laini, Crystal Goddess
Moho, Steel Goddess (I have NO idea why she's got her chains in her mouth)
Mangu, Darkness Goddess (moody as ever)
Hikari, Light Goddess

I love all your designs for goddesses! I disagree with you that dark and light aren't condisered elements, because I strongly think they are! but it's your idea so it's fine!

This is such a great elemental piece! But I gotta ask, just cause Im curious, what would be the major difference between Stone, Crystal and Steel? Like... I guess power wise, or in their dominion?

Actually, the funny thing is that I had an idea called Sonic Elements that included the element goddesses. Only there forms are a bit different.

I always enjoy seeing use of elements. Vibrant use of color and of course the cute little characters make this a fav of mine!

I've seen this drawing so many times before, but I decided to finally come through and comment because I like it so much.
All of your elemental goddesses are incredibly creative and unique, and I love that we can see them all in one format here. Though Hikari, Rai, and Kowhai are my favourites, their different outfits and hairstyles really compliment each other. I know it's difficult to make OCs that aren't too redundant. xD
And, of course...the colouring is gorgeous. xD Even on chibified drawings like these, you can see so much colour tone and variation, especially in the hair! It's a beautiful job!
(And dude...I have to ask...do you ever get frickin' annoyed by some of these comments? O_O People posting just to say that wood or something makes a stupid element or that the colour representing it is wrong...it would bug the hell out of me. xDDD Just sayin', you're quite patient.)

As for your question - yeah, it does get annoying sometimes. I've explained in the past why I chose certain colours for the elements, but they get ignored. Same going with things like why 'wood' is an element. Even when I explain that it's considered an element to the chinese (alot of people fail to notice their names are all taken from different languages and cultures) they keep insisting it's not a 'real' element. I just learned a while ago to ignore them since they're obviously not open to other's opinions. X3
