I've seen anime, am not old, and this looks like two students who took Slut 101.
Soul Eater is a shining example that Kill La Kill was only desperate for attention when it made certain decisions within it's genre.
That said, the cosplay itself is fine and I wouldn't mock them for it; I just know there's better anime if I want to see punk action and drama/comedy.
