beautiful picture. the angle, lighting and all of that is right on. but since i noticed that you said criticisms are welcome, i'd like to say that in my opinion i think the focus should be more evenly spaced in front and behind the water droplet, i don't know if this is possible, or if the focused parts of the feather were affected by you focusing on the water droplet...but i guess having the depth of field the way it is kind of pulls your eyes away from the water droplet. i'm not saying that the shallow depth of field is in anyway bad...and i'll stop babbling now because i don't even know what you intended to focus on.

I guessed it was a peacock feather. The tones and composition of this piece are stunning. And the detail, oh my. I've never noticed just how complex and detailed a little peacock feather is! Based on this I'm sure the rest of your gallery is just as amazing. I'll be keeping an eye on you

Lemme let you in on this. I've always been partial to water droplets / optics and how they scatter, reflect and refract light.
a definite +fav. i love this macro shot. the colours are smooth and the texture of the feathers are just lovely. look at how your droplet magnifies the fibres. omg. what sort of equipment did you use to get such sharpness?
