I really do like the composition of this image. A true metaphor for all things natural. You are an excellent photographer. Seen some of your gallery and it is all so good. I will try to see the rest some day. Life is truly a circle. Defined but never ending edges.

Very nicely composed shot, the forest looks so appealing and alive compared to the cold bland interior.

Not that I know anything about Buddhism, but this picture has a sort of zen quality. It reminds me of the scene in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon where Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fat are having tea. It is a very peaceful picture. I do like the natural gradient from dark to light going up the circle. However, unlike a Japanese or Chinese garden, the composition seems more natural than constructed. I could imagine the rock and short tree in the lower left more visible, creating a small-scale, symbolic scene of their own. However, it is remarkable that you were able to find a view as good as this. If this is in your own house, I envy you.
By the way, I second the wallpaper suggestion. If we ask very, very nicely, would you upload a wallpaper-resolution version?

Really cool! This reminds me of the holes you see in playscapes on the playground. I never get a view like this from one of them, though.
Really nice job.

I like the way the circle frames the trees.

Feels like I'm cut off from nature, like I'm in a time capsule or something.
"They took all the trees, and put em in a tree museum
And they charged the people a dollar and a half to see them
No, no, no, don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got till it's gone
They paved paradise, and put up a parkin' lot."

This shot is pretty much the same one as i saw at a local photography contest. Their's was entitled "Window to the World". To bad my photo "down river" took first place in the catagory!

Great concept! I wonder how the shot would look out of a different type of "window"
