MINE TOO. <3 Parasaurolophus and Maiasaura are where it's AT, man. Although, Paras are pretty much the only dinosaur I'm halfway decent at drawing, aside from, like, Microraptors and Velociraptors, which I'm okay at.
What I really want to (learn to) draw next is Protoceratops, or maybe Styracosaurus, because ceratopsians are also babies.

I always find that dinosaurs (in general) are really easy from the side, but then when you start turning them to face front they start getting REALLY HARD TO DRAW. ;_; Foreshortening is hard and they're all built so NARROW that they tend to look super dumb from the front sob.
Especially things like ceratopsians, because so many of them have those gigantic cheekbones that science says just stuck out stupidly on the side. THEY'RE THE BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH OF DINOSAURS, WHINE.

Oh yes, I can definitely see that being true--especially since with skeletons as being the biggest source of reference, you're more likely to find these refs from the side... I need to keep practicing them and try to figure them out because god, for someone who likes dinosaurs so much, I really haven't drawn very many. :T

It also doesn't help that science still doesn't agree on a lot of things where dinos are concerned-- for example, in my trawlings though the Internet, I've discovered that things like Triceratops probably had limbs coming out from their body like modern lizards rather than sticking straight down like rhinos, which I hadn't known before, and that it's possible that Stegosaurus had column feet like longneck dinosaurs that may not have even had visible toenails or anything, sjfgkhsldhf DINOSAURS ARE WEIRD.
Though I AM super excited that we know the entire colorations of two or three feathered dinos; even if one of them is really boring it's neat that we're that much closer to knowing for sure how they looked.

Awah, I didn't know that about trikes! D: Or about stegos, gosh, dinosaurs are such a pain sdflkajsdlk. I just want to hijack a TARDIS and GO FIND SOME ACTUAL DINOSAURS TO ACTUALLY USE AS REFERENCE. I mean no, I do think that the scientific process and discovery of all these things is really fascinating and each new piece of information that shapes the way that we see dinosaurs is superdoublepluscool to part of my mind, it's just that when it comes to drawing I...need to...know things...dsajklka. It's why when I become Supreme Dinosaur Overlord of the Earth I'm trapping photographers in enclosures with various underphotographed species so that they can take some high quality reference photos for me and all the other artists out there who may want to use them |:
But yeah !! I think it's amazing that we've been able to find out the actual coloration of a few creatures that have been dead for A LOT OF YEARS like that, the kid who figured it out is One Smart Cookie and I want to give him a high-five.
