Description When I went to Ariel's place on Monday, there was crazy lighting. Florescent lights from the kitchen and hall, incandescent from the living room with strange colours on them, light from the TV... it was just bad. And low light too and my flash wasn't working.

So I shot her with high ISO (4000) and in black and white, giving the photos a very grainy, old-school feel. Does it look OK? Does this photo look good to you? Because if it does, maybe I'll do this style more.

Old school is great. Im just not a fan of b-n-w. I think softening the photo in this case it would have come out better. You do great work. Can you show a few more in color of this model so I can see shadow relation?

I cannot show the photos in colour, it was shot in black and white.

Pushing the film, as I would do working with Tri X and later P3200 Kodak B&W, still works when using the diggie and going from ASA to ISO - grain is okay when creating photo art, or shooting sports in low-lit environments. You adapted and your work is wonderful.

And I saw your note on her profile, you definitely should work with her if you go east. Personally, I'm strongly advocating she come west for the summer.

Were you just in Toronto shooting her, or did she come west to shoot with you - the fridge photo tells me she was out your way. I would like to see her out in a nature setting, forest, lake shoreline or farmer's field.
