This turned out great! I love his pose, those legs are awesome <333 I love the feet, too <333 And that serious little face of his, how adorable!!!! <333 Glad you didn't put all those markings on his mask, he looks so much better without them <3
As for the background, try putting colors that go with others in the characters, a red background really would've made his blue body contrast and stand out. Maybe even throwing in a texture would add more interest.

Did.. I.. forget markings? o_o I had both of his pictures pulled up and I could have sworn his mask was blank. Frick. frickfrick.
I actually had my sister pick the background color, because I am partially colorblind. 8D; And so, picking contrasting colors is actually hard for me. I suggested red, but she said 'nonono purple will be better with his blue' and picked the shade for me.

Oh no! His mask is supposed to be blank like that! On one of his pictures, the original, he has a bunch of markings all over it, then I decided to take them off, so you got it right! <33333

Yeah I can't see some shades, so backgrounds are hard to pick. That's what I use my sister and my friend for. lol
