That being said, here's another wonderful lopsided comic.

I imagine, in the "Cutie-mark swapped" world, the mane five have made an accidental name for themselves; ponies with such troublesome cutie marks can't be a common occurrence. When Pinkie Pie and her estranged mother cross paths again, emotions are quick to pull the two together. In this universe, Pinkie's ties to her mother are particularly upsetting (more so than my regular headcanon.) Despite having been given to her uncle to raise when she was very small, Apple Pie recognizes her daughter almost immediately--the rumors/stories surrounding her and the others add to that recognition, as does the apple mark on her rump.

Should mention here that Apple Pie isn't actually an OC: she's a G2 Pony who I thought made a better fit for Pinkie's mother than the one's seen in the show. Mutton Pie is Apple Pie's older brother in the story and he takes Pinkie in when his sister fails to financially support her. Apple Pie bares no relation to the Apple family.

Moving on, Pinkie Pie, having left Ponyville after ruining the Apple Farm (you can read it, here: [link] ) of course recognizes her mother, and the shock, disappointment and sense of failure break the pink pony's heart.

I was going to add words, but I think that would've taken away from the art, so left it pantomime.
