"No... No! AAAHHHH!!!"
Lincoln screamed as he opened his eyes, feeling sweat roll down his face. He had another bad dream. But this dream was different. It wasn't of Lynn mocking and berating him, no. It was of flames. Actual flames all around him. And the worst part was that he heard screaming. Lots of screaming. The screams were of young voices crying in agony and pain. He didn't know what to make of it. But he was thankful that it was just a dream. Was it?
-Knock Knock Knock-
"Ah!" Lincoln yelped, hearing someone knock on his door.
"Lincoln, are you ok?" Luna's voice asked.
"Uh, yeah, I'm ok." Lincoln said.
"Are you sure?" Luna asked. "I heard you screaming."
"It's fine, Luna." Lincoln said. "I'm fine."
"Are you?" Luna asked. The boy was about to speak, but then he stopped. No, he thought. He wasn't ok. There he goes again, pushing people away when it is obvious that he's not ok. He let out a sigh. He got off the air mattress, and opened the door to see his rockin' sister. Actually, all nine of his sisters were at the front door. Even little Lily. They all must've heard him.
"You sure you're ok, Lincoln?" Lori asked. The boy let out a defeated sigh, knowing that he shouldn't hide his problems.
"No, I'm not ok." Lincoln said.
"Did you have another bad dream, Linky?" Leni asked.
"Yeah..." Lincoln said.
"You wanna talk about it?" Luna asked. The boy looked away for a moment, to think about the dream. It still disturbed him quite a bit. Not sure if having a dream of voices screaming in a massive fire is better than having a dream of everyone hating you.
"Well, it wasn't Lynn or any of you hating on me." Lincoln said. "I don't really know how to make of it, but this one was... different. There were flames around me, and there was a lot of screaming... For some reason, I feel like something bad is gonna happen." The boy lowered his head, feeling distraught.
"You wanna sleep with one of us tonight?" Luan asked.
"You can share with me, Lincoln." Lucy said. "Oh, wait, Lynn used to sleep in there."
"You can sleep with any of us, Linky." Lola said. The boy looked at the girls, surprised that they were all willing to let him sleep with them. Well, they did promised to be better sisters. And honestly, he didn't want to be alone right now. But who should he pick to sleep with?
"And don't worry, Linc." Lana said. "We won't fight over you or anything. We promise." Hearing that put the boy at a bit of ease.
"Well, I guess I can sleep with Luna and Luan, if that's ok." Lincoln said.
"Of course, Lincoln." Luan said.
"Yeah, you can bunk with us." Luna said. "C'mon, bro." The rockstar sister helped the boy down to her room. And surprisingly, the rest of the girls didn't complain one bit. They were just glad Lincoln isn't going to be alone tonight. As the girls went back to their rooms, Little Lily stopped in her tracks as she turned her head back at her big brother's room. Her baby instincts were tingling. The eighteen-month-old noticed something was glowing in Lincoln's room. Making her way with her hands and feet, the baby saw where the glowing was coming from. Inside Lincoln's locked drawer.
Curious, the baby looked at the lock and leaned against it as she began turning it, managing to unlock it. Yeah, babies are so unpredictable. With the lock undone, Lily opened the drawer, and her eyes widened as she saw what was inside. It was the El Tigre belt, and it was glowing faintly. Wait, she thought. This was the belt that the El Tigre hero boy wore. What is this doing in Lincoln's possession? Then it clicked. She had seen the news while her father would sleep on the couch whenever he stayed home to babysit her, and she saw the news anchor talking about El Tigre Ruidoso, and showing the picture. Come to think of it, El Tigre Ruidoso had the same chipped tooth as her big brother. So that means...
"Yincoln's... Le Tige?" She asked silently. Her older brother was the hero who was fighting crime in the past few months? It began to make sense now. They both have the same chipped tooth. Wow. How did no one else see that?
As the belt stopped glowing, she then turned her head back at Luna and Luan's room. Her brother spoke a bit about his dream, and that he had a bad feeling something terrible was going to happen. Was the dream a sign of something terrible about to transpire? One thing's for sure. He may need it. He might need the belt of El Tigre.
She glanced over to see Lincoln's backpack next to the air mattress. The baby girl made her way towards it and placed the belt into his bag. Who knows what may come tomorrow, but he'll have the belt just in case.
"Lily?" The child turned her head and saw Leni at the doorway, surprised.
"Whatcha doin' in here, Lily?" She asked. The baby approached her and said.
"Yncoln..." She spoke. The sixteen-year-old tilted her head with a bit of confusion. She didn't see Lily when she and the girls came recently to check on Lincoln, so she was thinking the baby girl got out of her crib when they went back to their rooms to see if Lincoln was ok.
"You were checking on him, weren't ya." She asked. "It's ok, Lily, he went to sleep with Luna and Luan. So don't worry, he'll be alright." The baby nodded.
"C'mon, Lily." The ditzy sister said as she picked her little sister up. "Let's get you back to bed." The two exited the room and closed the door behind them, as the belt was deep in Lincoln's backpack, so he would have it... for what was to come. They weren't sure if it was coming. But it was coming...

So... Lincoln has a bad dream and goes to sleep with Luna and Luan. When the girls leave, however, Lily stumbles in Lincoln's room and discovers the El Tigre belt. Thinking his dream is a sign of something bad going to happen, she placed it into Lincoln's backpack. The storm was on the horizon.

SURPRISE!
So I decided to post this before I go to work later. I was originally considering doing something before this for the story, but I decided against it. The idea contained use of alcohol, but I wasn't sure if any of you would feel comfortable about it, so I decided to scrap it. But I do have some of the idea sketched out, so maybe I'll post that up some other time if you guys are interested.
Yes, I worked yesterday noon until 4, which was a fun experience, and then I slept in until either 10 or 11 PM a few hours ago, and I told myself, 'screw it, I'm just gonna do some work until I go to work at 4:00 AM'. Yeah, I work on Sundays from 4:00 AM to either 8 or 9 AM, depending how business is.
Yeah, my internal clock is @#$%ed up, again...! But you know what, I don't even care anymore. As long as I'm able to get some sleep, that's fine by me. I just hope it doesn't screw up my schedule with the Community Band.
Anyway, I gotta get ready for work. More will be coming soon! Not sure how soon, but it will! This I swear!
