Description
1. Larimar was sent to earth on a mission to find corrupted gems and bring them back to homeworld. The reason is unknown. So she essentially does what the Crystal Gems do but with ulterior motives.2. Larimar's fangs have some kind of venom in them. It's not strong but it's enough to stun someone long enough to get her job done. The venom only works on other gems/corrupted gems. The strength of the bite itself also affects the venoms effectiveness
3. Trying to be scary
4. Larimar is extremely fascinated with the animals on earth (particularly sea creatures). This concerns Emmy (Faith-Wolff ) since Larimar keeps trying to bring them on land (where they would die XD)
5. When first arriving on earth, Larimar hid out on the beach island and bubbled all the corrupted gems she caught to one of the caves. She looks different because it's before she poofed and lost her one source of communication to homeworld. Although she can't contact them, she has faith that they'll come back for her and continues to hunt down the corrupted gems
6-8. Responses toooooooooo . Larimar finally hears Onyx's story for the first time and learns that homeworld isn't all that great. She wasn't around during all of the experimentation, but feels extremely guilty since she still associates herself with them

Awww damn it why are you guys always giving me the feels with your pictures T^T Larimar is so thoughtful and sweet to Onyx even though she don't know what happened to Onyx beforehand. I love her first look and that she was so willing to believe the homeworld was coming back for her. Great work on these pieces!

Ok I have a slight headcanon that intertwined onyx and Larimar and it's based on Larimar being a corrupted gem hunter. In order to understand my headcanon for Larimar, I think it'd be good to see my onyx headcanon.
Head canon for Onyx : Onyx was always meant to become a corrupted gem. In order to find a way to communicate or see the thought process of a corrupted gem, they experimented on a young, disposable gem to become a window into the mind of a corrupted gem- enter Onyx. She was meant to be used as a way to research the mental stability of the corrupted gems using the attachments on her, which would re establish a connection to onyx once she became corrupted. In order to test out their new creation, homeworld set her up to crash on a planet where she would be alone and would've entered a corrupted state due to solitary on earth. What they hadn't counted on was the ragtag group of gems who would keep her grounded that consists of Emerald, Citrine, and Larimar. They Gave her a reason to fight it and are one of the only things keeping her normal. Homeworld has attempted to connect to her and find out what went wrong since she should've corrupted at least a decade after she crashed. She has the ability to break the connection while conscious in her normal form, but in her corrupted form she lacks the control to do so.

A few decades after Onyx 'crashed' on Earth, Homeworld became worried about the progress of the experiment and sent one of their finest corrupted gem hunters to see to the problem. Larimar was just given the order to hunt the corrupted gems, which was technically true considering who she would have to put down a corrupted gem. Then she met Onyx. Onyx was a normal enough gem and the two became extremely close. Sadly, when Onyx did become corrupted, Larimar realized the true nature of her mission. Now with homeworld connected to Onyx and on their way, Larimar has to decide between letting the gem she cares about the most become an experiment or defy the orders of Homeworld. Yea sorry...

Aw wow, I'm glad you decided to show some of Larimar's background/back story! I wanted to draw her, but I didn't really know much about her reason for being on Earth and I didn't wanna guess wrong. ><
LOVE the idea of her being a corrupted gem hunter, it's so badass! And she actually manages to pull off "scary" with that little hiss there, even with those adorable chubby cheeks *pinch*. I love the design of the cave, it looks like a geode, very clever and pretty. How'd she poof and lose contact with Homeworld? Or are you waiting til later to reveal that?
I adoooooore the doodles with Onyx. The poses show so much emotion! My favorite is the "I'm so sorry" hug. Smol Lari hugs heal all wounds. XD I love these two a lot, I gotta draw more of em (and also probably Citrine and Emmy)

OH, OH! Have you considered a crawfish as a pet possibility for Larimar? They can survive out of water, are pretty low maintenance, and are little badasses! The little guy/gal could ride around on Larimar's shoulder or in their hair or something.

Cute drawings. I think I will start to watch the show now. ( does that last drawings mean she is having second thoughts about her mission and might turn good(ish). I love when evil characters turn anti- hero, because I love hopefull changes like that. Example: vegeta, star killer, and Siegfried from soul caliber, kinda.) also that cave part reminds me of the plot for transformers armada.
