Shadow the Hedgehog is one of my most favorite characters of the franchise, despiste of his story of being confusing for some ppl, Im glad to explain it for ya'll.

At first I've think that the real Shadow was dead, and the one of today is a clone, but after learning more about him, and playing Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog, I realised that the real Shadow survived the fall, beign rescued by an Eggman's robot and put in a cloning capsule apart of all the clones.

The original story of Shadow was supposed to end in SA2, but after gaining the heart of almost all the community, SEGA bring him back, creating a new story for him. In SA2, we can also realise that the original idea of "The Ultimate Lifeform" was for Sonic, in the final fight against Finalhazard, Shadow tells to Sonic: "Sonic, I know who is the Ultimate Lifeform, and might be you!" reffering to Sonic as the Ultimate Lifeform, aswell this changed when Shadow cames back.

We all know that Shadow suffered of amnesia when we wake up from being in stasis after 50 years, the consecuences of that allowed to Shadow's enemies play with his mind and memories, creating things that aren't real. We can also know that he's the real one in the final battle of Shadow the Hedgehog Game, when he is ready for face off Devil Doom, Eggman tells the truth to Shadow: "Shadow, I know you can hear me, remember when I told you to beign created by me? It's all a lie, you're the real Ultimate Lifeform created by my grandfather Gerald Robotnik..." with this, Eggman reveals that Shadow is the real one, also in Sonic Heroes, the book says about Shadow "He suffers of amnesia, he can't remember anything after the incident. He survived the fall to the Earth and was rescued by one of the Eggman's robots".

Ik some ppl doesn't like Shadow's actual story, but we all know that we can't gidde the Sun with a finger, atleast, the good thing is we have the real Shadow still with us

Shadow suffers from acrophobia, a fear of heights, due to trauma from his deep-rooted past. He is capable of hiding this from others, but has been prone to panic when he is in imminent danger of falling to his doom. A total flip on Sonic's fear, which takes place in the depths. Just as there was no way out of running into water in many Sonic games, for Shadow the more lucrative path is always high up and he has to confront his fear to get there.
