Lousy title, I know. I shouldn't even be awake right now, let alone submitting art. x_x;

This was dabbled together during a couple of hours I spent in Photoshop. During the time I was thinking back to the earlier issues of Sonic the Comic, and Knuckles watching the stars, waiting for his people to come home. I kind of always wanted to draw something about that, and this is what popped out. I need to do some proper STC art at some point. *thoughtful*

I had fun with it, mostly making up coloring techniques as I went along ( I always do that, though - experimenting is good ).

I can see plenty of problems with this, that "tree trunk" on the left there being the biggest irk for me, the other being a few anti-aliasing mishaps. And Knuckles looks too light... that may just be me, though.

The water/ice( you decide... x_x ) he's standing in was a bit of a mistake on my part. Once I'd finished doing the earth there, I couldn't help thinking it looked "underwater"... so I went with it. I assume Knuckles' feet must be getting pretty cold standing there. I also think he might be about to fall over. *laughs*

As for what the Island is floating over, originally it was supposed to be water, but after spending a day or so looking at it, I think it resembles sand a lot more ( hey, at least it looks like something! That has to be good, right? XD ). So, maybe the Island is passing over a desert. Well that's what I'm saying, anyway. >>;
