Description Species: Vulpes vulpes (red fox) (fur farm silver fox breed)
Status: least concern
Extra: a) Silver (or gray) foxes are a natural seldom (!) morph of the red fox. b) They are also bred in fur farms to die for fashion. Here they are bigger, show less fear of humans and all cubs have the same fur colour as their parents (unlike wild occurring silver foxes).

The relatives of this zoo's foxes were once from a fur farm.

Well I think he/she is simply gorgeous.
Reading how her family was from fur farms really saddens me. ;n;

A beautiful photo! The silver morph is one of the most beautiful color morphs of the red fox, in my opinion. And you've really captured it beautifully. However, you might want to watch your title -- the "grey fox" is a completely different species of fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) found in the Americas. A "silver fox" is the red fox color morph. Just an fyi, the title's a little misleading.

Thanks a lot. Glad you enjoy it. - I know about the other species (still thank you ), but "silver" is just a term for gray. But you're right, it is a misleading title. I got the info about the species in the description .
