Personality:

Chihiro is someone who will almost always be happy and cheerful. Whenever he sees someone sad or mad he'll try to cheer them up, or calm them down and make them feel happy. He isn't super extroverted, but he isn't shy either and likes to talk to people and make friends. Chihiro is also a hardworking boy, who will do his best to get good scores, to the point of studying during night (and maybe faint the next day lol ) , and he is very curious and eager to learn new things.

But despite being cheerful, he can also be quite emotional and get easily upset, though he'll try to hied it. He gets easily distracted and that can lead to him being clumsy. Like accidentally tripping or bumping into someone.

Also you could tell lies or silly things to Chihiro, he is so gullible he'll most probably believe anything. Also due to being distracted he can be very unorganized and forget appointments or lose/forget things in his room. And despite being nice and friendly he grows quite possessive of things and people he loves, and when angry he is quite harsh and tells bluntly what he thinks.

Bio:

Chihiro was born in a normal family, not rich nor poor. His mother was a school teacher and his father worked for a music publishing company as an 'audio mixer'.
Ever since he was little , his father would often take him with him to work, as Chihiro seemed quite fascinated by music. But as he grew older what fascinated him even more was the string music instruments some musicians would bring with them to the recording room. His twin sister who also loved music was more fascinated by dance and ballet.
They'd often 'argue' over what was better, music or dance.

After discussing the matter for a long time, the parents decided it'd be a good thing to send their kids to music and to dance classes at the age of 5. So on their birthday, Chihiro got his first instrument. They'd give him his first cello, and his sister got her first dance costume and a tutu. The years passed and the more they practiced, the more they loved what they were doing. Chihiro even managed to get into a small orchestra. Everything was going perfectly but things would change when Chihiro was 12.

Both of their parents were working, so when Chihiro was done with music classes, he went to pick his sister at her dance class. It had snowed a lot that day. They were crossing a street at the crosswalk when a car braked hard to avoid another car that slipped in the snow... and instead it slipped too, and Chihiro took the hit in an attempt to protect his sister. She got away with minor injuries, but his own right arm was badly injured. They had to amputate part of it. After that Chihiro went into depression , since with only one hand , he couldn't play music anymore. It was bad enough to the point he wouldn't come out of his room anymore except for therapies, to help heal his arm faster. Fortunately the parents had a long time family friend that worked as a medical bionic engineer. He accepted to make an arm for Chihiro, and Chihiro accepted to test it out once his arm was good enough to have a prosthesis, and help improve bionic technology for amputees.

So he slowly started getting back to his usual cheery self, and even though it was hard , he started playing again. People at his school started being creeped out a bit by his arm , and he lost many friends because of that. But he still did his best and kept being optimistic. He eventually was doing good enough again with the cello and double bass to be reinstated in the orchestra.

One day , the orchestra was invited to perform in a large theater, in front of a large audience. Despite being really nervous, Chihiro performed very well, and was praised by the conductor , with a few other musicians. He was really happy ,and got even more happy when he was invited to transfer from his current regular school to Ongaku academy. Maybe this is a chance for him to also make new and true friends.
