I'm kind of reminded of Rory Willaims from Doctor Who in "The God Complex" episode.
Silent Hill is a place that drags up your deepest fears. It turns your sins into flesh, creatures that will stop at nothing to see you dead. It forces you to confront your crimes, and if you can't make peace with it, your torment will never end. So what would it show a person like Dan?
