ZZ Top (4th and final poster in my Nostalgia Series, and 1st in the Old Skool series) is a tribute to the band that taught me distortion and heavy power chords are still freakin' sweet! I hope the poster reflects the simple, grunge of their classic music. Although the theory is simple, man there sure is something in their music that gets your blood pumping. Compared to the Stairway to Heaven poster, the relationship between the two demonstrate that music must have both feeling and style, how you relate that to the listener, is up to the artist. It's effectiveness is based on the variety and creativity. In order of The Ataris, The Killers, Stairway to Heaven, and ZZ Top, the posters mean: Remember where you started -- be creative -- don't do what's popular or trendy, do what sepparates you from the crowd -- and finally, remember those who came before you and have fun doing what you love doing.
