Really nice use of grey to accentuate certain shapes. Especially in the face, where so many people go overboard or avoid three dimensions entirely.

thanks, i been trying to figure out how to handle white better. um, it was kind of all over, ill have some pencil pretty tight for some of the trickier parts (face for sure, hands) loose guides for others (one arc for that top of the dash, build out from it in ink), and wing whatever else i can get away with (background for sure). a lot of the paintings i like will have key bits highly rendered, and sort of progressively work outwards from that with chunkier and sloppier brushwork; so, youll get this lifelike effect of an object in focus and peripheral objects out of focus, and now im rambling. anyways, i aim for that in general, here its the eyes i want you to hang on, and the rest to stay out the way. blahblahblahblah
