Portfolio piece Number 4This is the very first portrait I've ever done and it took me FOREVER. I was really glad how it turned out, though. The hair was tricky and the shirt was a nightmare, but I loved doing the reflection on the glasses. It's the first time I've ever drawn something realistic very well, so I congratulate myself.
Horatio Caine from CSI:Miami. He's one of my favorite characters, and I don't care if you don't like him. Xp

I happened upon this piece while watching the show on Netflix.
I like CSI: Miami better. Mainly because it not only seems more scientifically plausible/forensically accurate... but I love the characters, specifically Horatio.
You really drew him well. I love the shading and detail on his outfit - and his iconic sunglasses and pose.

This is (IMO, of course) almost like a B&W photograph. The shading is incredibly skillfully done and the glasses are... even more incredible. I'm stunned.
