Description This is the cast for the 2nd Steampunk-ish Disney Duck story. For now the story is titled The Alchemist's Journals but I'm trying to find another if possible. The first story is about Scrooge's past, or more centered in the Klondike, where he not only began his ascent to being the richest man alive but also got involved in Alchemy. This story takes place decades later, and it starts veering off into AU/parody land more. X)

So! The main Cast (left to right):

Launchpad McQuack: Test Pilot for McDuck Enterprises and the personal pilot for the said employer. Despite his simplicity and often clumsiness, Launchpad is Scrooge's best friend, and one of the only two people who remained faithfully by his side despite his ascent into riches and greed.

Duckworth: Scrooge's butler and oldest companion. He often serves as the tycoon's conscience when needed. The second of two friends who remained by Scrooge's side.

Scrooge McDuck: Richest Man in the World, most successful businessman and a powerful Alchemist. Burdened by his past mistakes and something he deems an Alchemic Curse, Scrooge keeps to himself and only communicates verbally with a handful of people outside his mansion's walls. Dresses in black to shield his secrets.

Donald Duck: Feisty, impatient and insecure, Donald is Scrooge's nephew. At the age of 13, Donald and his twin sister go to live with their estranged uncle, whom they have not seen since his departure from their family (Don was about 4 or 5 at the time). Though not as hopeful as his sibling, Donald is curious to find out what his uncle is trying to hide from the rest of the world.

Della Duck: Oldest of the twins and Donald's best friend. Della is the more independent and confident of the two, and she's determined to bring out the good in her uncle, something she's sure still exists.

Mickey Mouse: Newcomer to the industrial city of Duckburg, what Mickey lacks in height he makes up with intelligence. His short stature for his age has made him an easy target for bullies at school, but even though his new companion Donald can't do any good at protecting him, his boldness helps bring out the confidence and optimism Mickey's been too timid to show.

Admiral Malcom Mouse: Having worked in the Navy for several years, Admiral Mouse is chosen to be the lead of a Governmental Top Secret Project led by none other than Scrooge McDuck. This leads him to move to Duckburg with his wife and two children. He is one of the few people chosen by the government to help supervise the construction of Scrooge's largest project: The Queen.

Shoo, yush. This trilogy is being written backwards, meaning beginning with the third one. There's a reason for that, and it's because certain information can't be revealed until a certain moment. And it makes it fun

Donald and Della are between the ages of 13-17 for this story. Mickey comes in when he and Donald are 15.

IMPORTANT: Mickey's father is only for this story. I needed someone to interact with Scrooge business-wise, and I wanted Mickey to move to Duckburg and already know about Scrooge being an Alchemist, so that' how Malcom came to be. He's not going to appear in anything else other than this AU story.

Okeh, so enjoy
*gets back to homework*

Please just look at the date it was posted.
Also I am not a fan of the new ducktales show. I don't watch it and I don't know anything that's happening in it.

Awww...this sounds so good! I'd love to read them! And especially about Donald and Della's past! And awww...why can't Donald protect Mickey? And actually you're right that Donald was originally depicted as smaller than Mickey but it was because Donald was younger than Mickey. Donald was a child and Mickey had him recite nursery rhymes and tells him "Atta boy! And behave yourself!" So yeah...that's why he was shown to be smaller. Later on, they had Mickey and Donald be roughly the same age. (Goofy was always a bit older).

But either way, I LOVE your ideas and look forward to seeing/reading more about them.

It's nice to see Della Duck depicted as a positive role model. In most stories she's always depicted as the one who gave up on Huey, Louie and Dewey. Of course those trio are quite a menace but dropping them on Donald and just.... left was quite irresponsible and sad.

Well, born from two angriest parents in the world doesn't help much either

Also love Scrooge's clothing. But I he's always very strict about money so I think it will be better if you made his clothings look old but not ratty.

This is awesome! I especially love Scrooge's coat. Just one question though;

Is Launchpad and Scrooge the same age? Because in a other sketch (the one with the younger Scrooge) they look about the same. Or does Launchpad take some sort of youth potion?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KicsterAsh In reply to WildWhimzyAngel [2013-12-15 04:14:21 +0000 UTC]

Launchpad is between the ages of 13-15 when he meets Scrooge. Scrooge was about 30. The age of Launchpad is that of what he was when he met Scrooge in Ducktales. Scrooge looks like this at the age of 30 in Don Rosa's comic The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck

I like "The Alchemist's Journal" as a title. I'd use it if A) I had your permission and B) I could think of a story to go with it. I have a bizarre tendency to struggle with either having a great plot but no title or a great title but no plot.

KicsterAsh In reply to UniversesCollideInc [2013-11-19 23:02:25 +0000 UTC]

I decided that I would be using it for the story, so I'm sorry but you won't be able to use it

It's fine. I can use titles from other sources (mostly random generators; it's fun to see what kind of story you can make up for a randomly chosen title).

Most of them are done fairly well, but Mickey in particular is quite good.  One of the better versions I have found.  Donald and Malcom look quite 'off,' but nothing bad

KicsterAsh In reply to Gorosaurus [2013-11-02 23:12:33 +0000 UTC]

Thanks^^
Donald is supposed to be a little over ten years younger than he originally is, which is why he looks different. He was meant to look younger than we see him now.
Malcom is just a fancharacter so he's not supposed to really resemble anything in particular aside from some similarities with Mickey, given he's Mickey's father in the story.

I always thought how it was so cute and kinda sad that Mickey was always the tiniest one, but I guess that's what makes him more original.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KicsterAsh In reply to TopHatBigPencil [2013-09-14 02:26:38 +0000 UTC]

He originally was taller than Donald, but people couldn'T relate with a mouse that was taller than a duck, so his height changed.

I try to meet you halfway and your response is "too bad for you"? Have you read my Ducktales stories on fanfiction? I like to think I kept Launchpad's personality without making him a moron, which I still think didn't SELL.

I I don't like it, I don't BUY it and too bad for YOU!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KicsterAsh In reply to SharanMcquack [2013-09-05 15:57:45 +0000 UTC]

I don't have time to read other fanfictions. Just because he's dressed differently does not mean he's out of character, it means the story has changed settings. I don't care if you don't like this, I don't care if you don't buy it. I wasn't trying to convince you of anything, was I?
And next time, don't add another comment. You can just continue the conversation under the reply button. Seriously.

KicsterAsh In reply to SharanMcquack [2013-08-31 21:33:13 +0000 UTC]

How about you just settle with the characters the way they were created? WITH their personalities?
Because I love Launchpad the way he is. I don't call him a moron but I keep his personality. If you don't like that, tough luck for you.

It was stated right at the bottom of the description that he only appears in this story because I needed someone to interact with Scrooge and give a reason as to why they had moved to Duckburg. That gives it away that Malcom is not an official Disney character.
