I dig how this turned out, feedback is appreciated.9/1/03 - Updated the file size as well as the eye. I'd always liked this piece, but thought the eye stood out too much, so I desaturated it a bit, as well as shrinking the size of the pupil... I like it quite a bit more now... I'll update the print soon. - Justin

I remember seeing this somewhere else... I think it was on abnormis.com. Always loved this one, the looks on his/her face is insanely interesting... it feels so sad.

Now this piece reminds me of a game titled "Silent hill" a really awesome game by the way, umm.....I really enjoy the dark colours along with the tasteful textures, especially how you added that screening texture over most of the face. Great work here. +fav

ok gumby had a point but he went about sayign it in an entirely wrong way. Yea the whole dead perosn thign is over done eh big deal i don't care if you wanan do dead people, btu you hsould differnetiate yourself from others too, know what i mean? The texture work is top notch and the morph on the eye is equally well done, btu theres not much more then that to this pic. One thing I notice on deviant is people have an amazing sense of texture, but little to no idea of how to compose space. They work aroudn it in simple ways, etreme closeups, black back drops, or symetry. You have photoshop skills no questions there, but why not chllenge yourself a bit more, I'm sure this is all kinda formulaic fo you by now. Just toss a few more elements in there, maybe try three main objects of focus and figure out conventions and ways to lead the viewer in a orderly manner around the differnt subjects. remember symetry is boring, so always work in odd numbers 3, 5 etc. Last there are many ways to be goth, or whatever you wanna describe dark work as, other then showing dead people I dunno maybe explore that idea too. You do good work, but great art is unlike anything else, well untill someone else copies it, but the original is the only one people truly revere.

cool image, but the textures appear a bit too flat on the face, with no real variation as the depth of the face goes in and out o fthe image
technically the texture would go with the curves and not appear as such, but the image is definitely cool, nicely done and a good dark theme

awesome. great use of texture and color. i like the way you sort of graphed out the lay-out. dilineated it in a couple of boxes, (and i dont know if i am seeing it correctly or not) but it also seems that you have a couple of slightly different focal points going on, that adds a nice touch.
over all. a great piece.
