Roger Klotz from Nickelodeon's (and later Disney's) Doug.Later on in the show Roger became pretty friendly with Doug and once the show went over to Disney, his family won the lotto, so he was rich AND friends with Doug.
I appreciated the idea of characters growing, but it really kind of ruined the main idea and appeal of Roger.

That is SO awesome... I usually cringe at different takes on the design, but this one brings a new dimension to the character. It's darker. Like, "you don't even want to know the things I've seen." Very cool.
I agree with you on the lottery thing. Trailer park Roger was someone we all knew in school. We could at least relate to having seen the underprivileged kid turn into a bully and a rebel to make up for what his parents couldn't give him.
I really believe the money probably didn't last very long, though. Unless his mum invested well, which I doubt, they were most likely just as broke as most lotto winners are in a year or so. They really seemed to burn right through it like it was never going to run out.

That was maybe the most unnapreciated and misunderstood character in Doug's.
He had the charms to make you laugh,though

As I said before, this is wonderfully unique. I never noticed how strange their designs are until they were rendered to look more real-like
