Ok so I think the title explains this pieceI had planned the entire layout to be full of little odds and ends but I got sick over the weekend and didn't want to miss the deadline.
Still He was fun to create so I thought I'd share my own Mad Hatter with you all

The mad hatter was based off of the hatters of Lewis Carol's time. The chemicals they used to make the hats drove them insane.

Mercury to be exact. They weren't insane, they suffered from slow mercury poisoning that started to affect there brains over time.

Yeah. However, considering that Alice in wonderland was a satire of how businessmen acted, how rulers treated their people, and was all nicely wrapped up in a bundle of pedophilia, mercury poisoning quickly falls down the list of strangest things about Alice in Wonderland.

I mean yes I agree about the satire and exaggerating things with a dash of whimsy but pedophilia?
I've read the originals both Alice and through the looking glass as well as Carroll's bio. I know some say he might have been a pedo since he liked the company of children but he struck me more as asexual. He coined the term "love makes the world go round" but that is often taken out of context.
The phrase is said by the foolish duchess and in the book you can feel the sarcasm dripping from the author.
We'll never know I guess but we did get a times tale out of it so why split hairs right

Right. (I'm not much of a reader, so a lot this I'll give to you) I doubt that he was asexual being as he took naked pictures of them. But why split hairs.
